Life in the countryside is full of creativity!
Noarootsi Handicrafts was established in 2011. by two enterprising women from Noarootsi.
The aim is to revitalise the Noarootsi region and to introduce coastal Swedish culture and crafts.
Our first great passion was ceramics, which grew into weekly craft workshops. As interest in crafts grew, the need for new premises arose. To support this, we renovated the old basement into a textile craft and training centre.
We have combined today’s technology with old traditions to sustain and develop craftsmanship.
When you live in the countryside in a place as beautiful as Noarootsi, but very far from the big centres, you have to be brave enough to put your ideas into practice.
